Command 400 

How do I request Command 400?

To request Command 400 you must contact the Hamilton County Communications Center at 513-825-2260. A Communications supervisor is available 24 hours a day to take your call and coordinate the mobilization of the Unit and personnel. 
Who can request our services?
The Unit may be requested by any public safety department in UASI Region 6
  • What Information do I need to provide when requesting Command 400? 
When calling to request Command 400, please be prepared to give the dispatcher the following information: 
1) Your name and the requesting agency
2) A brief description of the incident
3) A good call back phone number, name and if possible, a radio talk group
4) the location of where the unit is to be parked
5) Directions to the incident and staging location


What is the response time?
Command 400 is located at Greater Cincinnati Hazmat Unit in Sharonville, Ohio. Minimum response time for Command 400 within Hamilton County is approximately 45 minutes. There is an additional 20 minutes of set up to make the unit fully operational.

How is the Unit funded?
The Unit was purchased in 2006 with Urban Area Security Initiative Funds (UASI). Command 400 is under the direction of The Greater Cincinnati Hazmat Unit and is jointly funded by Greater Cincinnati Hazmat, The Hamilton County Fire Chiefs Association and The Clermont County Fire Chiefs Alliance. 
How do I join? 
To apply for membership to Command 400, please fill out the application below and submit to Greater Cincinnati Hazmat. For additional information on becoming a member, or questions or concerns, please contact Chief Mike Siefke at [email protected].
