Special Event Request

An agency may request the Incident Command Vehicle (Command 400) or any of the Hazmat vehicles for a non emergency special event or community event. The request may be made utilizing the guidelines below. 
1. The request should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the event
2. The request should be completed utilizing the appropriate form where all information must be filled out
3. The requesting agency will be notified at least 1 week prior to their event as to the availability of the vehicle
4. Community Events include: Touch a Trucks, Safety Days & National Night Out
5. Special Events include: Presidential Visits, L.E.P.C Exercises, Professional Sporting Events or Labor Day Fireworks. 
Should an Emergency Activation occur during the scheduled special event/community event, the vehicle assigned to the detail will be directed to respond to the Emergency Activation.                                                    All Agencies requesting the Incident Command Vehicle should have an Emergency Exit for the Incident Command Vehicle/Hazmat Vehicle should an Emergency Activation occur. ​
Requesting Agencies utilizing the van for more than 4 hours must refuel the vehicle at their expense. 
  • Failure to refuel will result in a flat rate charge of $500.00
  • Receipt's must be submitted to GCHMU
Requesting Agencies must return the vehicle clean and in a ready state. Failure to do so will result in a $550.00 charge. 
Requesting Agencies may be charged for data usage
  • Hot Spots are available upon request  
  • Any agency utilizing machine to machine must have prior permission or they will be charged a minimum fee of $150.00 for each GB of usage. NO EXCEPTIONS !
